China's automotive industry maintains momentum in early 2025

China's automotive sector is off to a robust start in 2025, driven by strategic government policies and automakers' innovation. The trade-in scheme is expected to drive the sector throughout 2025.
According to the latest report of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) published on March 11, 2.103 million vehicles were produced in the country in February alone, marking a significant 39.6% y-o-y increase. Vehicle sales totaled 2.129 million units, up 34.4% from the previous year. Although there was a slight month-on-month dip, the overall market demonstrated resilience, supported by policies encouraging vehicle trade-ins and new models launching. Continue Reading?
