Nippon Steel hikes stainless steel cold-rolled coil prices on higher costs and output cuts
The key Japanese stainless steel producer NSSC voiced the sharpest rise in nickel-based cold-rolled sheets from January 2023. It was a cost-driven decision, while production cuts supported the hike.
Nippon Steel Stainless Steel (NSSC) announced a JPY 25,000/t (USD 159/t) hike in the price of SUS304 (nickel-based) CR thin sheets for June contracts.
