Outokumpu plans cost optimization and maintenance in second half of 2024

In the following months, Outokumpu will conduct some production maintenance and cost improvement activities in the business areas of Europe, America, and Ferrochrome.

The second half of the year in Europe will be marked by the planning of further stainless steel operations optimization between Finland and Germany, the ongoing stoppage of one furnace in Ferrochrome, and the scheduled production maintenance in Sweden. In the Americas, the company will continue solving Calvert’s operational issues.
