South Korea starts first sunset review on stainless steel flats from China, Indonesia, Taiwan

South Korea started the first sunset review on AD duties against stainless steel coils and sheets from China, Taiwan, and Indonesia. A new investigation against Vietnam will soon start.
On May 17, 2024, the South Korean Ministry of Strategy and Finance issued Announcement No. 2024-117, stating that in response to an application submitted by POSCO on March 13, 2024, they have initiated the first sunset review investigation on anti-dumping measures for stainless steel sheets and coils with a thickness of ≤8mm originating from China, Indonesia, and Taiwan. The investigation period for dumping is expected to cover January 1 – December 31, 2023, while the injury investigation period is estimated to be from January 1, 2020, to December 31, 2023.
