Stainless steel output stable in China in August
In August, crude stainless steel output was almost unchanged compared to the previous month. However, the market was still oversupplied in the 200 and 300 series, as production continued rising there.
The overall volume of stainless steel smelted by Chinese mills was around 3.46 million t last month, down by a tiny 0.2% (7.3 kt) over the month. Although total output did not grow again, Chinese prices and margins were still under heavy pressure. Continue Reading? Please click box below!
