Stainless steel production drops in Russia in Q1-Q3
According to the Special Steel Association (Spetsstal), Russia’s stainless steel output and consumption significantly declined for the first nine months of 2024 compared to the same period last year.
The total output of stainless steel, including products made from foreign billets, fell by 7.2%, amounting to 128.4 kt. Nickel-containing grades experienced a 9.7% decrease, while nickel-free grades saw a more pronounced decline of 14.5%, resulting in a total production of 101 kt. Continue Reading?
